I’d been sick over the last several days, so it was nice to finally be able to get out of my sick bed and out of the house for a walk with my dog.  I took Sergeant Margie with me over to the WPA Rock Garden, and we spent a little over an hour there walking and getting some photos.  Saw both a Green heron and a Great Blue Heron at the duck pond behind the garden.  And also got my first photo of a Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens).  At first I thought it was a kind of digger wasp, but I wasn’t sure, so I had the folks at Bug Guide check it out and get me a proper ID.
