Tomato Festival!

I got into Woodland for their Tomato Festival around 10:30 am.  This was the first time they’ve had it on Main Street right among all the shops and restaurants, so traffic was a little hairy in places, but I was able to find a parking spot in the shade just about a block away from the fun. I took Sergeant Margie with me, and we walked around for about an hour, looking at all the booths.  I found one that was selling visors for dogs, so I got one for Sergeant Margie, and he didn’t mind wearing it at all.  He looked really cute in it, too, and got lots of compliments from people who passed us by.  One lady stopped me and asked where I’d gotten the visor because she wanted one for her Chihuahua.  I walked her over to the booth that sold them, and told them they needed to pay Sergeant Margie a commission for selling their stuff.  Hah!  We then looked for and found the booth where my coworkers Charlotte and Angel were helping to man a salsa tasting booth.  Of all the booths in the festival, theirs had the longest line.  Lots of yummy salsa — some with unusual ingredients like watermelon… On our way out, I got our photo taken with a tomato-human hybrid (hah!), and bought some of the fresh veggies for sale at the famers’ booths. It was a nice little trip…
