After work it was overcast and chilly, but I took the dog over to William Land Park for a short walk anyway. The medium pool was surrounded by people trying to fish in it, so there weren’t a lot animals to see. There was a Kingfisher racing back and forth, but I couldn’t get close enough to her to get her picture. In the WPA Rock Garden, though I did get some photos of an Anna’s Hummingbird, and also saw my first Yellow-Rumped Warbler (in its winter plumage). I thought at first it was a Goldfinch, but it had odd patches of yellow on it (including a little spot on the top of its head), so I looked it up when I got home and realized it was a warbler. Kewl. That brings my “1000 Species” goal for the year up to 51 species so far.
