After work, I drove over to Desmond Road by the Cosumnes River Preserve.  There weren’t a lot of photo ops today.  Most of the birds were in the distant ponds or on distant perches in the trees or on telephone poles, so that was a little disappointing.  But I DO thing I saw a Golden Eagle while I was out there.  I’ll need to get confirmation, but it was a huge bird, and the coloring of the underside of the wings when it took off looked very Golden Eagle-ish…
